MICHAEL STEINBERG is founding editor of Fourth Genre: Explorations in Nonfiction. In 2004, Still Pitching won the ForeWord/Independent Press Memoir of the Year. The Fourth Genre: Contemporary Writers of/on Creative Nonfiction (with Bob Root) is in a fifth edition. Six essays have been cited as “Notables” in Best American Essays. He's currently writer-in-residence in the Solstice MFA program at Pine Manor College. Faye Rapoport DesPres’ interview with Mike appears in the current issue of the AWP Writer’s Chronicle.
