Anthony D'Aries

ANTHONY D’ARIES received the 2010 PEN New England Discovery Award in Nonfiction. He is currently working on a memoir rooted in his father’s life as a mechanic and taxidermist, an excerpt from which received honorable mention for Fourth Genre’s Michael Steinberg Essay Prize. He has work forthcoming in the anthology Tarnished: True Tales of Lost Innocence (Pinchback Press). A graduate of the Stonecoast MFA program, Anthony will serve as Randolph College’s 2011 Emerging Writer-in-Residence. He volunteers with PEN New England’s Prison Creative Writing program and teaches literacy at the Suffolk County House of Correction in Boston.
