Karen Jahn

KAREN JAHN taught English at two liberal arts colleges for almost thirty years specializing in 19th century British and then African American Literature and music. Turning to essays after retiring, she received an MFA in Creative Nonfiction at Vermont College of Fine Arts.  Recently The Intima published her essay,“My Heart Is In My Hands,” and Gravel published “Child’s Play.” She published previously on Dickens and Wideman.  The Marble House Project in Dorset, VT provided her with a residency in 2015. She is currently working on a braided essay exploring mass incarceration and African American Literature.
