Barbara Blatner

Barbara Blatner’s You/Me was produced in Manhattan’s 2015 Midtown International Festival. Years of Sky was produced by Scripts Up! at the 59E59 Theatres (2013), and the play won the Columbia-Greene Playwrights Contest and the New Works of Merit Contest. New York Quarterly Books published two poetry collections, Living with You (2012) and The Still Position (2010). Barbara composed and premiered the bicentennial song for the Albany Academy for Girls (2014). Her verse play, No Star Shines Sharper, published by Baker’s Plays (1990), was produced for radio by New Voices (1991), aired on NPR stations (1992-93), and was acquired by the Museum of Television and Radio. Ms. Blatner has taught writing at Yeshiva University since 2002. She received a Doctor of Arts in English from SUNY-Albany, an MA in creative writing from Boston University, and a BA in music composition from Vassar College.
