Jari Thymian

Jari Thymian is a poet, graphic storyteller, and nature journaler who follows her curiosity into science, history, entomology and etymology. She is the author of a chapbook of poetry The Meaning of Barns and one of her poems has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her poetry has appeared in many publications in print and online. After a nearly 10-year hiatus from poetry, Jari has returned to writing and combined it with visual art. During those ten years, she and her husband traveled the western US in an RV (300 sq. ft.) while volunteering in public lands. Some favorite volunteer jobs: tour guide at Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, a lighthouse guide at the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, and a fish-tender for the threatened Gila trout.
