Jean Hey

Jean Hey’s essays have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The Plain Dealer and The Chicago Tribune. She was a finalist for Glimmer Train’s Short Story Award for New Writers and third-place winner of the Colorado Review’s Stanley Elkin Memorial Award. She holds a dual-genre MFA in fiction and nonfiction from Bennington College and won the 2016 Sven Birkerts Nonfiction Prize. She is currently at work on a novel.
