Maja Milkowska-Shibata (she/her) is a public health researcher-turned-graphic medicine artist. Her comics have been featured in Sequential Artists Workshop Anthologies (2023, 2024), The Rhetoric of Health and Medicine (2023), Intima (2024), and Tendon (2025). She is developing a long-form graphic memoir that weaves together themes of growing up with a disability, navigating a dysfunctional home, and career transitions within the healthcare field. Born and raised in Poland, she now lives in Naperville, IL.
