Nola Schiff

Born in Zambia (formerly Northern Rhodesia), Nola Schiff moved to London to become an actor. After working as a film editor with the BBC, she moved to New York and became a U.S. citizen. Schiff earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College and has travelled widely as a freelance editor for European B’Casting covering events in Haiti as well as the South African elections, the Hong Kong handover, the Rio De Janeiro Earth Summit, and more. She was a finalist in Stand Magazine’s Short Story Competition and a finalist for the Dana Novel Award in 2015. Her work has appeared in Crimson Online Magazine and Projected Letters, U.K. She completed her first novel, The Hissing Tree, in 2012.
