Piper Franckum is a fiction writer from Boston, MA. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing, Fiction, from Boston University, where she also taught creative writing, fiction and poetry, to undergraduates. She is the 2026 winner of the Saul Bellow Prize for Fiction and a recipient of the Leslie Epstein Global Travel Fellowship, which she will use to travel to Eastern Europe. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in Persona Creative Magazine, and her poetry is forthcoming in Lavender Review. Her writing is interested in place, miscommunication, gender dynamics, and what it is we owe to one another. She is currently revising her first novel.
