RICHARD PERRY was born in the Bronx, New York, and lives in Englewood, New Jersey. His fiction has appeared in Southern Review, the Hamilton Stone Review, Black Renaissance Noir, and Callaloo, and he has had stories anthologized in Calling the Wind, Speak My Name, Brotherman, and Breaking Ice. He has published three novels and two (what Graham Greene would have called) “entertainments.” A fourth novel, Forgiven, set in 1870 Missouri, is looking for a home; Forgiven’s narrator is a white sheriff whose life has led him to complex and contradictory views on history and race.
