Sharon is a writer and independent editor living in North Carolina. She is also a former journalist, fellow of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, at Oxford University, and the recipient of a fellowship from the Institute of the Current World Affairs, a nonprofit that gave her the freedom to report and write from South Africa for two years.
