Susan Muaddi Darraj

SUSAN MUADDI DARRAJ is the winner of the 2014 AWP Grace Paley Prize for Short Fiction for her forthcoming book, A Curious Land: Stories from Home (University of Massachusetts Press). She is also the author of The Inheritance of Exile (University of Notre Dame Press, 2007), a collection of short stories about Palestinian American women. She has published essays, stories, and reviews in a variety of forums, including New York Stories, The Christian Science Monitor, Al-Jadid, Sukoon, Mizna, and elsewhere. She is a board member of RAWI, the Radius of Arab American Writers, and an editor at Barrelhouse, a literary journal that explores the junction of literature and pop culture.
