Will Horwath was born in Long Swamp, Pennsylvania, down the road from John Updike country. After spending three years in the 82nd Airborne, Will attended Moravian College and then received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. His professional life was divided between teaching and writing for J. Walter Thompson ad agency in Detroit. He has three daughters and lives alone at the Speckled Shin in Southfield, MI.
