Bryon MacWilliams is the author of the memoir, With Light Steam. He won awards for his reporting at U.S. daily newspapers before moving to Moscow, where he was based for more than a decade as a foreign correspondent covering the territories of the former Soviet Union. His journalism, essays, poetry and literary translations have appeared in publications big and small, including: The New York Times, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Literary Review, B O D Y, and Nature.
