Edward Gunawan is a writer and filmmaker. The author of two chapbooks—The Way Back (winner of Start a Riot! Prize, forthcoming by Foglifter Press) and Press Play (Sweet Lit, 2020), he has also completed over 25 feature and short films as producer, writer, actor, and/or director. Other publications include TriQuarterly, Aquifer: Florida Review Online, and Intimate Strangers anthology (Signal 8 Press). A queer Indonesian-born Chinese immigrant, he now resides on Ohlone land in Oakland, CA where he is completing his M.F.A. in Creative Writing at San Francisco State University.
