Laurie Foos is the author of six novels, including Ex Utero and The Blue Girl, and has also published three novellas with Gemma Open Door Media, an organization devoted to literacy, The Giant Baby, Toast, and most recently, The Other (2022). Her short fiction has appeared previously in Solstice, Quarterly West, Gulf Coast, and others, and in the anthology, Wreckage of Reason: Xxperimental Women Writing in the 21st Century. Excerpts of her new novel, Star Sisters, currently under consideration, have appeared in Embark Literary Journal and in The Gateway Review: A Journal of Magical Realism. She lives in Long Island with her two children and teaches in the low residency MFA programs at Lesley University and Goddard College.
