Genia Blum

Genia Blum is a Swiss Ukrainian Canadian ballet dancer, teacher, and choreographer. She was born and educated in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and has lived and worked in Europe for over forty years. The founder and artistic director of a ballet school in Switzerland, Dance Art Studio Ballettschule Luzern, she also presides over a dance foundation named in honor of her Ukrainian ballerina mother, Daria Nyzankiwska Snihurowycz. She is currently writing a memoir, titled Escape Artists, from which “Wounds and Secretions” is excerpted. Read an Interview with Genia Blum
