MANU SAMRITI CHANDER teaches British and world literature at Rutgers University-Newark. He received his MFA from the University of Michigan, where he was awarded the Academy of American Poets Prize, and his Ph.D. from Brown University. He is currently editing a volume of short fiction by the nineteenth-century Guyanese author Egbert Martin, and completing a monograph called Brown Romantics. He lives in New York City.
