Mia Caruso lives and teaches college in Portland, Oregon, where she also volunteers for The Returning Veterans Project. She has a partner and three teenagers. Her writing is concerned primarily with the lives of women and especially with the interior movements of their unspoken thoughts. She is a fan of Lydia Davis, Jean Rhys, Anna Kavan, Elizabeth Hardwick and many other female writers who reveal what it is to live a woman’s life.
