Michelle Blake

Michelle Blake has published poetry and essays in Tin House, Ploughshares, Southern Review, Mezzo Cammin, Solstice, Cider Press Review, The New York Times, MORE and others. She has also published three critically acclaimed novels with Putnam Penguin—The Tentmaker, Earth Has No Sorrow and The Book of Light. Her chapbook, INTO THE WIDE AND STARTLING WORLD, was published in the New Women’s Voices Contest, Finishing Line Press. And she contributed poems and a fable to a collection of photographs by Fran Forman, ESCAPE ARTIST. Blake taught writing at Goddard, Stanford and Tufts, and served as director of both the Goddard and Warren Wilson MFA programs.
