Graphic Lit Editor’s Note

by Drai Whitted

Over the years Solstice has published a variety of pieces in different mediums including visual, audio, and photography. In 2019 we continue that tradition by adding a new genre of Graphic Lit as a category in our magazine. In future issues this section will feature comic storytelling and other forms of sequential art including comic poetry and experimental works. To kickoff the category we are proud to feature Fulbright recipient Franklin Einspruch’s piece, Tulips along with an interview about his work in comic poetry. We are excited to expand on this category in future issues and provide a platform for new voices in graphic lit.
