Winning’s Pinch

by Jess Mynes

Reciprocal sensibility
machinery and armor               more so
it seems an arrangement.          The formal terrain
centers of crystallization
read as a diary.             Believer seeking grace
or sharpened sensibility.
Osmotic precarious
contraption                  mirrored realm of discrepancy
disrupts and transports
ricocheting triangulation          contrapuntal polarity.
Insubstantial speck in
pounding waves.          Alienation’s inherent gaze
inevitably therefore.
Lures and seduces secure.
The compensatory sense
is touch.                       Sometimes the door goes
                                            right by.
