Elsa Cross (Mexico City, 1946) is a poet, critic, and translator. Her collected poems were published in Mexico as Poesía completa (1964-2012), and she has subsequently published five more volumes of poetry. Translations of her works have appeared in England, Belgium, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, India, and Brazil. The most important literary awards in Mexico, as well as other prizes in Canada, France, Switzerland, and Italy have been given to her work. Cross holds a professorship in the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where she teaches philosophy of religion.
Susan Ayres is a poet, lawyer, and translator. She lives and teaches in north Texas, surrounded by her family and three cats, and two dogs.
